You could leave the more complex form and try a pretty jig (they're Celtic too, and much easier to write =D)... once you feel confident in pentatonic again have another try. *is probably not helping*

Your music is beautiful. Just because it doesn't fit within a form doesn't mean it's crap. =)

I don't know how to write a jig...I just want it to sound lilting and lively! AND IT DOESN'T!! >< Pentatonic? O_o

It's crap because it sounds crap...@_@

pentatonic? if you're writing celtic music it has to be pentatonic...that's where the happy sound comes from :)

Well...I only said it sounded like Celtic music. Really I'm just making it up off the top of my head.

Lord of the Dance isn't pentatonic. O_o

Lord of the Dance is a hornpipe, I believe. n_n Could be wrong.

(Blazing Strings [the section with the crazy arpeggiations] is a jig or a reel, I can't remember the difference.)

It's still Celtic.

Yeah...the string bit was what I was trying to create...but it didn't quite work. I gave myself a crazy tin whistle solo instead. =P

In style, yes. It was written in 1963... :fear:

Blazing Strings is a quaver melody with the first note of the chord set as semiquavers when needed. It's written the same way as Irish Washerwoman; write a melody, throw in the rest of the chord (and the second and fourth) to make it faster, and run with it. =P

Jigs are basically cheerful arpeggiations and runs. They're naturally lilting and lively. n__n

Hm. That should have been a reply to a comment further up. @__@
