I'm trying to write a Celtic Dance...and it all sounds crap!

Lord of the Dance is a hornpipe, I believe. n_n Could be wrong.

(Blazing Strings [the section with the crazy arpeggiations] is a jig or a reel, I can't remember the difference.)

It's still Celtic.

Yeah...the string bit was what I was trying to create...but it didn't quite work. I gave myself a crazy tin whistle solo instead. =P

In style, yes. It was written in 1963... :fear:

Blazing Strings is a quaver melody with the first note of the chord set as semiquavers when needed. It's written the same way as Irish Washerwoman; write a melody, throw in the rest of the chord (and the second and fourth) to make it faster, and run with it. =P
